Capacity building
Improving the interpretation of genetic data for management and policy
Combining efforts and resources to achieve greater impact
A major goal of the CCG is to build capacity through international collaboration, to better equip countries to monitor and report on genetic diversity. By drawing on a global community of conservation genetics experts through our member organizations, we develop policy and management guidance documents, and training materials to support scientists, conservation groups, and policy makers.

Developed, tested and ready for implementation!
Our November webinars (with Q&A) explain the indicators, address CBD policymakers' concerns, and describe how they are being deployed in Japan, Australia, Colombia, Mexico, France, Sweden, Belgium, and South Africa. We show that indicators are relevant, feasible, connected to the GBF, peer-reviewed, and ready for use (criteria outlined in CBD/WG2020/3/3/Add.1)
